Holm Show is a small traditional agricultural event that takes place annually.
The show has been proudly running since 1883, having started life as the Eskdale and Liddesdale Show by the then Duke of Buccleuch.
The patronage continues with His Grace, Richard, Duke of Buccleuch still holding the honorary position.
He succeeded his father who died last year who was always a firm supporter of the event.

The Show is an event that happens at the end of the farming calendar and always on the last Saturday in August.

The show is truly entertaining and consists of a good  range of exhibitions, competitions which include
livestock, animals and poultry. The Show is much more than an agricultural show, it is a day out for the family
as there are four marquees in which are held the competitions for industrial products & craft,  baking,
flowers & vegetables, & photography.

Holm Show also includes Crafts demonstrations, such as tapestry and walking stick making.

The Equestrian Section with various competitive classes provides good learning opportunities for young riders.
Always popular are the Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling competitions and the amusing Terrier races.

The large vintage vehicle and working machinery display provides much interest.

There are funfair and bouncy castle attractions and this year  -  a Dog Display and a Steel Band .

Trade stands and stalls provide interest and opportunities to purchase items ranging from farm machinery
to toys,  fancy goods, plants and crafts

The show will start at 10am and close at 5pm.(Exhibition  marquees open from 12.30,
after judging has taken place)
